Another Week . . . Another Year
The start of a new week and with this new week comes a brand new year. This week is my birthday and for as long as I remember I have always counted down starting after Christmas, with the big countdown starting on the first of June, almost like my very own advent calendar. But this year with only days away, I'm still not counting. WHY? I wonder. Is it because I'm getting older -- can't be I've been getting older every year ;-)
But where has my joy gone this year? Am I feeling lonely or simply tired? Only time will tell and I'm hoping come my birthday morning I'll wake refreshed and perhaps ready to spend the entire day writing -- now there's a birthday treat I can look forward to.
