Six Sentence Sunday

This is from my latest WIP. I'm really looking forward to writing this one as it promises to be a lot of fun. Romance, mystery and comedy all rolled up in one ;-)

“What do you mean dad is missing?” I fought hard to keep the exasperation out of my voice. My parents were becoming increasingly harder to deal with as the years went by. “You said he and his bowling buddies were gone fishing at the cabin for the week and it’s only been a few days. Stop worrying that he hasn’t checked in and enjoy the freedom. Watch whatever you want on tv and stay up late reading.”
