About the book:
Love's Second Sight follows the paths of Thorgunna, Jarl of the Isle of Tiree and Leif Eiriksson, Norse explorer, as they battle natural and supernatural forces to be together. Tormented by Loki, the God of Lies, Thorgunna find herself trapped in the midst of the clash between the old gods and the Christ. Entangled and ensnared, Thorgunna is forced to choose between saving Tiree, and her own life, or saving Leif. Leif falls deeply and dangerously in love with Thorgunna, incurring Loki's wrath. Thwarted at each turn by Loki's tricks and deceptions, difficult choices haunt and plague him. To fulfill his mission for his father, his king and his God, he must forsake his beloved, heathen Thorgunna--or he can spend the rest of his life with her on Tiree, never to see the faces of his parents--or his God, again. Love's Second Sight is a smoky, seductive clash between tradition, exploration, duty, honor, blossoming faith and enduring true love alive with all the passion of the Viking Age.

Growing up named Venus it was no wonder that I have always had a love and interest in mythology and folklore and this story completely fed my hunger for fantastic traditional legends. The descriptions brought to life a magical world of Norse tradition in this epic tale reminiscent of the Historical romances I read as a teen. If you are looking to get lost in a time and place beyond your wildest imaginings this is the read for you.
