Flash Fiction Friday
Welcome to this week’s Flash Fiction Friday. A picture may be worth a thousand words but not for us. We have a picture about which we write a story of 100 words, no more and no less. I am joined by some fabulous writers today who give their take on a picture. To see the picture and the other members click this blog link: Flasher Fiction FridayI had actually started writing a scene that was completely different from this at first until the date sank in. I knew that I had to have a military twist so this is what I came up with.

I paused the video convinced of my initial diagnosis. When my brother Doug asked me to help the strain in his eyes was evident. I’d hoped to take one look at his home movies and assure him everything was fine. I thought he was just adjusting to having his partner home after all the time spent worrying and praying. His lover had returned home safe but the battle was far from over. Blake was definitely showing signs of PTSD. Whether he became my client or someone else’s he definitely needed help but we would get through this as a family.
