Flash Fiction Friday January 6, 2012

Flash Fiction Friday
Welcome to this week’s Flash Fiction Friday. A picture may be worth a thousand words but not for us. We have a picture about which we write a story of 100 words, no more and no less. I am joined by some fabulous writers today who give their take on a picture. To see the picture and the other members click this blog link: Flasher Fiction Friday

This is a play on a FFF post I did earlier. http://www.venusbookluvr.blogspot.com/2011/12/flash-fiction-friday-for-december-9.html I hope you enjoy reading this as much as I enjoyed writing it.

I was nervous, but the excitement outweighed my anxiety. I still couldn’t believe Jenna had set this all up. I looked beyond the photographer and all his equipment to my younger sister who was looking on with pride and fought the tears welling up in my eyes.

This was it!

I was no longer left to the darkness, the time had come for me to be a shining star. Before I knew what I was doing I found myself teasing, bantering and flirting with the handsome professional. I was pleasantly surprised when he reciprocated. I’d finally moved beyond the shadows . . .

This post gave me a wonderful feeling. Made me want to hug myself. ^_^ There’s nothing like having a dream and actually living it. Excellent post.

Vindication is always so sweet, she waiting patiently for her moment in the sun and she was rewarded. A sweet, sweet story. Well done.
