Flash Fiction Friday

Welcome to this week’s Flash Fiction Friday. A picture may be worth a thousand words but not for us. We have a picture about which we write a story of 100 words, no more and no less. I am joined by some fabulous writers today who give their take on a picture. To see the picture and the other members click this blog link: Flasher Fiction Friday

Chrissy was still standing in the same spot. She looked anchored in front of the painting. I wasn’t particularly fond of it but she seemed mesmerized. I noticed her flushed cheeks and the unshed tears. “I swear this is speaking directly to me. Telling me the time of hiding from my troubles is over. It’s time for me to open my eyes, open my mind and open my arms . . . time to open up to all the possibilities I’ve been ignoring.”

Jaque’s eyes shone. He wanted to express those feelings some people couldn’t for themselves – seems he had!

What is he hiding? What has he been ignoring? This one left me with lots of questions. Wish you could have written more. Great post!

They say some paintings can invoke the inner beast living within and I very much believe so. I love the way she describes the moment. Excellent.

That would be an interesting painting. I wonder why she hides?

I got inspired last minute and posted something on my blog as well.

I love this one Venus. Sometimes we miss what is standing right before us.

Yes, so many times people are afraid to take a risk, open themselves to what could be. Great reminder and flash

Great Flash. I loved how she recognizes what she has to do to become a better, freer person.
