Six Sentence Sunday

Well, again today I've decided to share a little more of my WIP Dad the Bounty Hunter.
I hope you enjoy reading these snippets as much as I've been enjoying writing this one!

My heart just about stopped beating when Sandy Cullen opened her front door. The middle-aged woman was a throwback to a time when secretaries frequently slept with their bosses. She might have been the same age as my mom or even twenty years older, it was hard to determine with all the make-up she was wearing. Her outfit reminded me of something the starlets of the 50s would wear. She ushered us in to her kitchen and got us both giant glasses of homemade lemonade. “I’m not sure what I can tell you about Larry other than I really wished I could have stayed on with he and Ralph, it was a pleasure working for them. But with the business not even off the ground yet they really couldn’t afford to keep me around full time and I need the money.”

Felt like I was there. Hmm, she wishes she could have kept working for them. Oh, and I want some of that lemonade :)
