I couldn't believe he had purchased this piece as a gift. The photo embarrassed me and made me feel inferior
but Davis was so pleased with his choice I felt awful for my negative feelings.
I blinked back tears; perhaps he didn't know me at all.
"Thank you."
He gave me a soft kiss on my nose. "I saw you looking
at this photographer’s work when we went to the showing a few months back. As
you studied the photos expressions flit across your face and I remember
thinking I could spend the rest of my life just watching you."
