Flash Fiction Friday

Welcome to this week’s Flash Fiction Friday. A picture may be worth a thousand words but not for us. We have a picture about which we write a story of 100 words, no more and no less. I am joined by some fabulous writers today who give their take on a picture. To see the picture and the other members click this blog link: Flasher Fiction Friday

I couldn't believe he had purchased this piece as a gift. The photo embarrassed me and made me feel inferior but Davis was so pleased with his choice I felt awful for my negative feelings. I blinked back tears; perhaps he didn't know me at all.

"Thank you."

He gave me a soft kiss on my nose. "I saw you looking at this photographer’s work when we went to the showing a few months back. As you studied the photos expressions flit across your face and I remember thinking I could spend the rest of my life just watching you."

He fell in love with the expression she had as she gazed at the photo. That's awesome. So while she was watching it, he was watching her. Lovely post.

So emotional and sweet. I'm glad he was so thoughtful to consider her needs, but too bad she wasn't appreciative. Love your work Venus.
